Deva has been passionate about film since she saw The Goonies as a kid.  For over fifteen years, Deva has directed commercials, music videos and award-winning indie films. As Creative Director at Impact Creative she develops original content for global brands, makers and musicians.

Deva received her B.A. in cinema from UC Santa Cruz where she did extensive research for her thesis on the under-representation of Hawai’ian culture and history in film and media. She's passionate about work that tells these vital stories from the perspective of Kanaka Maoli like herself, and indigenous filmmakers around the world.
